Madrid Palace, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family

Madrid Palace, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family

Madrid Palace is one of the most popular palaces in the world and like Buckingham
Palace; it is designated for the country’s Royal Family. It is also one of the oldest palaces
since its construction was started in the year 1735. Over the course of time, renovation
work was carried out by successive emperors. Today, it is mostly used for state
ceremonies since the Spanish Royal Family does not live here anymore instead they
have opted to stay at the Palace of Zarzuela. The palace has a huge building covering an
area of 135 thousand Sq. meters having 3,418 rooms.
This palace has a unique place in Spanish history and with novel art displays,
construction designs and decorations. It has also become a major tourist attraction in
the world as the visitors can take a tour of the palace. Close to the Madrid Palace is the
Alcatraz Palace, which is also significant in Spanish history. We were in Spain last year
visiting different states of the European Union. We were staying in Barcelona while we
were planning to visit the capital city as well. We reached here by road and booked a
hotel in the commercial area.

Exploring the City of Madrid

Madrid is a historic city with countless tourists attractions spread all over the city. We
first decided to explore the city before visiting Madrid Palace. We visited the Museo
Nacional Del Prado which is among the best European art collections. We also visited
the Parque del Buen Retiro which is a beautiful park with fountains and a lake. We went
boating here enjoying the beautiful weather of the city. Next, we went to the Madrid
Palace after which we spent a few hours in the Plaza Mayor in the city.

Exploring the Madrid Palace

We went to the Madrid Palace after spending a few hours in the city. It is a beautiful
building, which impresses the person the first time. Outside the palace, there are Plaza de la Armeria and Plaza de Oriente. There are also two gardens here named Campo del
Moro and Sabatini Gardens. We spent some time outside before we went to explore the
interior of the building. Inside there are King’s apartments, Queen’s apartments,
banqueting hall, Royal Chapel, apartments of Infante Luis and the Crown Room. There is
also a library, pharmacy, and armory here. We spent few hours exploring the interior of
the palace and took memorable pictures here.

Things to Do in Porto, Portugal

Porto, Portugal

Porto, Portugal may be known for its wine and port, but oenophiles aren’t the only ones who have fallen in love with this cozy northern city. Aside from booze, the second most popular city of Portugal has some of the best scenery in the country—and some of the best shopping, too: think idiosyncratic artwork, crafts, and handmade clothing. We’re fans of the hillside Yeatman Hotel, and we even dubbed Zé Bota one of the best restaurants in the world.

Here are the top places and things to do in Porto.

China is one of the oldest civilizations in the world and since the age of industrialization, it has become a major power. We were traveling in a group (not traveling with pets) and whenever we visited a country, we were interested in exploring the natural habitat and the phenomena of nature. We decided to visit the Tibetan region of the country, as it is a wonder of nature. There are towering and mountain ranges whose peeks reach the heights of the sky. Bern Switzerland: Top Attractions

Bern, Switzerland attractions

When you visit Bern Switzerland for the first time, you will be stunned by its beautiful scenery. Bern is the capital of Switzerland and was built in a sandstone ridge.

The city is encircled by the Aare flowing on three of its sides through a wide valley. The city has a network of high-level bridges linking it with the high ground on the right bank along with the newer areas in the city.

The prosperity of the citizens of Bern in the 17th and 18th centuries can be seen in the shops, streets, and houses of the city. If you are planning to visit it, here are the top 4 activities you must do while being there.

These activities are suggested by Right Now Cleaning and Restoration of Great Falls, who have visited Switzerland in their down time from cleaning carpets, upholstery or doing trash removal.

1. The Old Town:

It is classified among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The old town of Bern is a must visit, even when travelling with pets. It is located on a cliff and surrounded by aquamarine waters of the Aare River from three of its sides.

The cobbled streets are stunning as most of the city’s medieval character is preserved. The lower levels of most of the buildings are shops, cafés, bookstores, and restaurants while the upper levels are apartments.

The old town is full of tourist attractions which include all of the bridges across the Aare, public fountains, old statues, towers, and, the famous Clock Tower. You will spend spectacular days in this part of the town.

2. KunstMuseum:

It is one of the most popular museums of art in Europe. The Kunstmuseum is located to the west of Waisenhausplatz, on the Hodlerstrasse.
There are more than 51,000 paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, films, and other works of art inside the museum.
The museum was built in 1879 so it is one of the oldest museums in Europe.

The collection includes art from the Italian Trecento, Swiss art since the 15th century, and international painting from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The exhibitions are amazing and feature most of the art schools.

3. Rosengarten:

If you want to feel peaceful, this place is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in Bern and in the whole Europe. It has some impressive views that make you relaxed.

The Rose Garden Park is located on a hill slope just across the river from the center of town. In 1913, the area became a public park. It was renewed in 1950s and now, it includes more than 200 types of roses and other 200 species of irises, azaleas, and rhododendrons.

The Conclusion:

It is one of the finest cities in Europe. It is full of art, history, and scenery so you will definitely enjoy your visit there.
